What skill is deemed most important by employers?
Without doing a scientific study or in depth survey, in the modern age the most important skill is the ability to communicate effectively. With the advent of laptops, cell phones, email, blogs and text messaging people are now able to communicate faster and more efficiently then ever before. More importantly, however, having good communication skills means communicating in an appropriate. Verbal and written communications can infer different meanings if the intent is not specifically stated. This could affect the difference between a sale, purchase or meeting of a deadline. Therefore, utilizing proper annunciation, punctuation and wording can mean the difference of a highly successful employee or failure.
