Event Planner jobs may require planning events for senior management, marketing and sales, meeting with customers to identify parameters of events, recommending appropriate formats, coordinating promotion of event to a target audience, identifying and recruiting presenters, speakers, and event volunteers, negotiating with vendors to make event arrangements, serve as the onsite host/hostess for client, communicate event status, conduct follow-up to assess effectiveness of events, and develop and track meeting budgets.
Event Planner jobs may also require a bachelor’s degree in public relations, or a combination of education and experience, excellent knowledge in Microsoft Office, strong oral, written and interpersonal skills, organizational and problem solving skills, candidate must be detail oriented, have project management skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects at the same time and work well under deadlines/pressure.
