A native South Floridian, Lauren DeMarco has almost 10 years of professional experience in the South Florida market and is a graduate of the University of Florida with both a Bachelors and a Masters of Accounting. She began her career with Ernst & Young in 2002 as part of their Audit & Assurance Practice. After moving up the ranks at E&Y, Lauren decided to make a career change in 2006 to become an Executive Recruiter with Kramer Professional Staffing, a leading provider of professional recruitment services serving the South Florida marketplace. In December of 2006, Kramer Professional Staffing was acquired by Stephen James Associates, an Allegis Group company.

As part of the transition, Lauren was promoted to Practice Director to lead the Accounting & Finance direct placement practice for Broward County. In her role, Lauren has successfully lead the Practice responsible for recruiting and placing Accounting and Finance professionals at all levels in both public and private companies, including roles such as CFO, Controller, Director of SEC reporting, Director of FP&A and Director of Internal Audit.

Lauren is a member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Six Degrees Big Brothers Big Sisters of Broward.
