"This is a big acquisition for Everbank and substantially expands their Florida footprint as well as their lines of business and product offerings," said Carlos J. Arboleda, executive director of the Banking & Financial Services Group at Stephen James Associates. "It certainly re-emphasizes that there are strong banks and banks in trouble, yet few in the middle. We will surely see more of this in Florida."
